The colour is a mixture of faded copper and pink.The nose is elegant showing sweet strawberry and cherry characters, with a hint of fennel in the background. The palate is clean crisp and elegant with good weight and structure, finished with clean crisp acidity. A wine developed for drinking in hot weather with robust garlic laden food, or chilled as is.

Winemaking - Machine harvested to the press to remove the juice from the skins and limit the potential for too much colour pick-up. The juice was cold settled for clarity with only minor levels of juice fining. Fermentation went through to dryness. At the completion of fermentation, the wine was filtered and bottled to retain all of its aromatic freshness. Tasting Notes - Turkish Delight, strawberry and a hint of tomato leaf. From Orange in NSW, this Shiraz is a good introduction to the qualities of this emerging area. It shows aromas of plum and spices and the palate is all about the fruit with little intrusive oak.

Logan's Apple Tree Flat wines pay homage to the people, places and experiences of the Logan winery on the label, but also within the bottle. Quality, varietal and terroir specific can be used to describe these wines and inparticular the Shiraz. In the glass the wine is a lovely crimson red colour which precedes a nose of fresh red berries and hint of earthen tones. In the mouth the wine truly sings with a mixture of berries, plums and spice.
