Iron Cloud Rock of Solitude Purple Patch GSM
There are only a few wineries nestled in the rolling hills of Geographe, but they are producing some lovely wine, as youll discover in this classic GSM. In the glass: Deep, dark red purple. On the nose: Inky dark berry fruit with notes of toasty oak and iodine. On the palate: A core of plum and mulberry tempered by fresh herb and stalk notes, hints of vanillin oak and juicy acidity.
Yangarra Old Vine Grenache
While certainly lighter, more elegant, and a different style to that of some of previous years, the 2011 vintage is one of the greatest Grenache vintages Yangarra has ever produced. The white pepper spice is telling of such a cool year, and is married with bright cherries and raspberry alongside complex hints of liquorice, chicory and cured meats. The tannins are fine and delicate, and the acidity alike.
Simon Tolley Rosé
Tardieu-Laurent Cuvee Speciale
TARDIEU-LAURENT Cuvee Speciale, Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Domaine Val D'Astier Cuvée Rose One Maures aoc
A pale color with rose petal reflections. Its nose with aromas of red fruits and grapefruit remains subtle and stealthy. A light and fresh palate gives it the delicacy of a morning dew. This wine will seduce you with its lightness and its thirst-quenching power. From our terroirs at the bottom of the valley, mixing mica schist, silica and silt. A light wine of pleasure and conviviality. It will accompany your long summer evenings or quite simply quench your little desires for the sun.
Head Rose Grenache Mataro
This wine is only made when vintage conditions permit, typically in the cooler/wetter years. The fruit is sourced from a single 100-year-old vineyard in Greenock, Barossa Valley from Grenache and Mataro fruit. After crushing the free-run juice is bled off into two large old wooden puncheons and fermented for six weeks. It is then fined with egg whites and stabilized for immediate bottling. Only 100 dozen of this wine is produced.
Tarrawarra Estate Pinot Noir Rose
This wine is grown, picked and made to be elegant in style, with lifted strawberry Pinot Noir aromas. It is dry, yet succulent wine with fresh acidity and fine texture. A lovely aperitif enjoyed on its own or with lighter foods such as antipasto, pâté or fresh summer seafood.
Le Grand Noir Rosé
Opens with a burst of intense red fruits: raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant, supported by a touch of pepper. The palate confirms the nose finishing in a lovely dry fruitiness.
