Chris Ringland Shiraz has been one of Australia's most loved wines over the past few years with its immense concentration of bold, forboding fruit. Chris Ringland, the man behind such famous names as Three Rivers Shiraz, creates a wine that is made from mature Northern Barossa vines and shows dark mass of concentrated black and blue fruits, laced with sweet mocha and wrapped in a smooth, velvety texture. Not for the faint of heart, the CR Shiraz is improving vintage on vintage.

Dark red colour with purple hues. An expressive bouquet brimming with layers of blackberry tart, black cherry, cacao nibs and sweet spice providing an aromatic lift. Full bodied and complex on the palate, expressing layers of concentrated blood plum and black cherry, combined with undertones of cocoa, nutmeg and vanilla bean all culminating in a harmonious structure of dense savoury tannins. A balanced wine with a certain vitality that will allow it to age gracefully over many years.

Crafted from grapes sourced from only the old and gnarled vines from some of the Barossa Valley's most historic sites, this wine demonstrates the living history inherited from this region's forefathers and their legacy for quality. There are enticing aromas of dark chocolate and warming spice leading to a luscious palate of concentrated dark forest berry fruits derived from old Barossa vines - layered with complexity of spice from time spent maturing in oak barrels, silky tannins and a long finish.

Chateau Tanunda was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the First vines planted in the Barossa in the 1840s as well as the Valleys first winery. The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon are from select rows of our Eden Valley vineyard. This wine displays deep, rich purple and red hues. The bouquet has lifted aromas of blackcurrant,bluberry and spice on the silky smooth palate with hints of cedar and mint.
