Premium handcrafted wines from the undulating hills of Shelley's Vineyard. Hand selected premium parcels of fruit, using traditional winemaking practices has resulted in wine of the highest quality. Our Durif is grown on the De Bortoli Shelley’s vineyards on the eastern edge of the Rutherglen region. The site has an interesting gravel, clay and alluvial soil mix with different aspects which helps generate different flavour profiles. Deep dark brooding red with vibrant red hues. This Renaissance Durif has balanced dark berry, chocolate, and licorice with the integrated oak. The grainy tannins are lip coating and are integrated into the soul of the wine. The wine has intensity and power which lingers long after tasting. Complex aromas of dark berries, plums, prunes, licorice with nuances of dried tobacco.

This multiple Gold medal winner tawny is wonderful way to end a great meal with friends & family. This is a luscious full-flavoured port, rich with raisins, brown sugar and nuttiness. Enjoy with a generous cheese plate. Fortified wines were perfected in the 1700s and were popular as they were able to withstand long sea journeys. A wine becomes fortified when a neutral spirit is added during the fermentation process. There are many different types of fortified wines including Tawny, Port, Apera, Sherry, Muscat and other fortifieds. Common flavours include ginger, toasted hazelnuts, raisins, caramel and cinnamon.
