Their Topography range is about showing off the region’s cool-climate strengths, and Gris is right at home here. The high elevation keeps everything bright and fresh, while still giving the wine a bit of weight and texture. The 2024 vintage rolled along steadily and that shows in the glass – plenty of clean orchard fruit, a little savoury edge, and a nice, easy flow across the palate. It’s not trying to be flashy, just a well-balanced, versatile white that’s great with food or on its own. The Philip Shaw No.11 Chardonnay is produced from high altitude vineyards in a region firmly claiming its rightful place at the table of great Chardonnay regions, Orange of NSW. A brilliant combination of flavours of citrus and honey dew and a great sense of minerality with a firm focus on low crops and supreme site selection.

A pale straw colour with vivid green hues. Gunflint, almond and lemon zest characterise the aroma. The wine has a steely edged structure and the mid-palate is filled with white peach and oyster-shell flavours. It draws into a long, spicy finish.
