Crafted from three premium Yarra Valley sites, combining both MV6 and D2V4 (pommard) Pinot Noir clones. The first parcel was hand-picked on the 20th of February, with the final parcel coming in on the 1st of April. All batches were fermented wild utilising different ratios of whole-bunches, the final blend equating to 25%. Matured in French oak puncheons (30% new), where it saw 10 months élevage prior to bottling.

The vineyard series range of wines by David Bicknell at Oakridge matches particular varieties of wines with specific sites, showcasing outstanding examples of single vineyard wines. This wine was sourced from the north-facing Hyde Park vineyard sited in the grey alluvial loams of Coldstream. Vintage 2021 was a long, cool growing season with average cropping levels and ample rainfall has resulted in wines with outstanding varietal definition and purity. A medium-bodied claret style wine with a signature leafy lift. Layered fruits of blackcurrant and blueberries integrate with earthy complexity & fine dusty tannins. A brightness from the acidity underscores a generous palate weight of fruit and long finish ably assisted by the varieties inherent structural tannins.

A finer-boned example of Warramate Pinot Noir, which faithfully reflects the seasonal conditions & site from which it was drawn. Subtle notes of strawberry, black cherry & fennel spice weave amongst a perfumed stalky lift & supporting bacony oak.

A typically elegant Yarra Cabernet. The nose shows cassis and blackberry aromas with subtle cedary oak and the palate has a silky mouthfeel with sweet berry flavours and a lovely lingering finish.

An excellent new discovery from the home of Pinot the Yarra Valley. In the glass: Medium garnet. On the nose: Blood plum, red cherry and clove with tilled earth and tea leaf notes. On the palate: Medium weight and savoury with a fine tannin backbone underpinning the refined core of red and black fruit. Finishes with earthy spice adding complexity to the persistent finish. An elegant wine that really unfolds in the glass.
