Created with an array of dark fruit this delicious wine is from the Limstone Coast and Murray Darling region. It is a sit down and enjoy wine full of dark fruit flavours, a hint of spice with toasty vanillin oak and soft velvety tannins. Try it with a meal of roast beef and your favourite sides.

Predominately sourced from the finest parcels of fruit grown on the Zilzie Estate, these wines are testaments to the Forbes Family's passion to nurture premium quality vineyards and create captivating wines. Rich flavours of blackberry, cherry and plum with soft tannins and restrained oak. Excellent depth of colour, richness and complexity.

The Winemaking: Once harvested the fruit was crushed and pressed; the juice was cold settled and racked to ferment. The ferment was carried out with selected yeast and stopped with some residual sugar. Post fermentation the wine was stabilised, clarified and bottled. Victorian soil, namely Mildura, knows how to treat Italian grapes,. A particularly sunny 2021 personified the Mediterranean-like climate sangiovese thrives in. You’ll recognise a bold and distinguished show of oak, with a stimulating show of tannins. Plenty of pleasant earthy spices and rich juicy berries come through. A vintage to relish.

Kevin McCarthy re-wrote the pinot grigio rules. Pioneering the planting of the unknown (at the time) Italian grape variety in Victoria’s cool climate in the 1980s saw the variety boom. Now mainstream, here is another progressive take by Kevin. Zippy and bright, enjoy effortless tones of lemon, pear and honey, metered by a subtle saline edge.

Zilzie's Cabernet Sauvignon has generous layers of rich dark berry fruits, delicate tannins and an elegant touch of oak. The palate of menthol and mint are balanced by ripe blackcurrant and plum. Tannins are mature and rounded which will support further aging. It is ideal for cured meats such as salami and prosciutto, as well as soft cheeses. Enjoy chilled, it is best served as a pre-dinner aperitif, so take one to your next dinner party and the other guests will be glad you brought it.
