One of the leading wineries in the Valpolicella region of Italy's Veneto. This generous and ripe traditional Valpolicella is all about leather, roasted almond, ripe currants and sour cherry. The palate is mellow, with fine tannins and a sour cherry finish.

A sister wine to the riotously popular Lulu rosé. The wine is inspired by the ideals of relaxation, of holidays and fun. It's packed with floral and fruity aromas from the rapidly trending vermentino grape. Bright lemon in the glass, the palate is dry and refreshing and displays floral notes, fresh peach, citrus and green apple. The wine is rounded, with an ample acidity on the lingering finish. Chill a bottle, pour a glass, then relax.

The grapes for this wine come from the Belford vineyard owned by the Elliott family, situated 15km north/north-west of the Tyrrells winery. The grapes were handpicked then lightly crushed before a relatively cool fermentation in stainless steel. After a short period on gross lees, the wine was racked and left to mature in stainless steel until bottling. The last of the semillon picked, this wine has a fuller palate commonly associated with the Belford vineyard, with great fruit intensity and a slightly higher acid intensity than normal years due to the cooler growing conditions.

The freshness of this wine demonstrates why Hunter semillon is possibly the most under-rated wine style in the world. The aromas centre around lemon, lime and fresh hay, and the palate is decidedly linear, based on a spine of acidity. This exceptional wine, at six years of age, is still at least five away from its optimum drinking window. 'Little or no colour change; the bouquet is distinctly aromatic, but still focused on primary fruit, not toast or honey; the palate is electrifying, drawing saliva from the mouth with its mix of unsweetened lemon juice/lemon zest and life-giving acidity, the DNA of great Semillon.10.9% alcohol.' The perfectly ripened grapes combine with crisp, citrus acidity, to give the wine a lovely balance. Fresh and floral with touches of honey, Colpasso Fiano is perfect chilled as an aperitif and wonderful with a plate of seafood.

This wine is made from Albariño grapes carefully grown in the vineyards at Val do Salnés (valley of the salterns) in Galicia, where most vineyards and wineries congregate under the Denominación de Origen Rías Baixas. This grape variety is characterised by its small clusters, early ripening and medium vigour. They are remarkable for their pleasantly impressive fine and distinguished floral and fruity aromas, of a medium intensity and a medium-long finish.

The vineyards that produced this appealing wine are situated near Controguerra, Abruzzo, at 250 metres altitude, inland from the Adriatic coast, halfway up the boot of Italy. The pecorino grape is not widely known in Australia. It is believed to be a native of the Marche region. The name may derive from the fact that the grapes were grown in hilly country, the same country that sheep were raised - pecora means "sheep" in Italian. Pecorino wine is easy going, with straw colouring, displaying distinct floral notes, minerality, field herbs, stonefruit and citrus. It is currently enjoying a surge of popularity in Italy and other parts of the world.

This Italian white wine from the northern region of Veneto is light and fresh with just a hint of floral lemony creaminess making it a perfect accompaniment to any antipasto seafood or lighter style pasta dish.
