As part of their quirky Ministry Series, Capital Wine produce a wonderfully racy and aromatic Riesling named The Whip. A floral nose of lime citrus and lemon rind followed by an intense palate of searing natural citrus acidity. The palate is lissom and has a mineral water like weight as citrus fruits mingle with toasted nut-meal and caramel. Fruit is sourced from Josef Chromys estate vineyards in Relbia in Northern Tasmania. The Chardonnay is gently pressed to stainless steel for a cool ferment with full solids retained for fermentation to give richness and texture.

A great example of the region's chardonnay, Nick believes that the 2018 vintage has produced some of the best fruit he has seen in the past decade. Vibrant green apple and white peach aromas linger on the nose, with slight crushed rock notes. Beautifully restrained power in the palate, subtle complexity and a devine length.
