Arneis, a crisp, crunchy, spicy Italian white originating from Piedmont, Italy, traditionally made without oak. Dal Zotto are owned and managed by the Dal Zotto family where their vineyards, winery and cellar door lie cradled in the tranquil King Valley in the foothills of the spectacular Victorian Alps of northeast Victoria. Hand picked grapes from cool climate vineyards in the King Valley and Tumbarumba were used to craft a methode traditionelle sparkling wine of the highest quality. Lifted aromas of green apple and citrus on the nose, and after extended time on lees the palate is soft and creamy with brioche characters.

This great Pinot Gris from Mt Difficulty has aromatics reminiscent of a fruit cocktail full of stone fruit, melon and green mango. These characters are richly replicated on the palate, with a full-textured mid palate and an off-dry finish. Delicious.

Established in 1996, Printhie has quickly garnered a repuation for quality cool climate wines, even picking up a 5 star rating from James Halliday. Pinot Gris is well suited here with luscious honeysuckle flavours balanced with bracing acidity. Textural mouthfeel adds to the mix of what is a wine to keep an eye on!

On the nose it displays aromas of hazelnuts, guava and subtle marjoram spice. Wrapping around a core of chalky minerality are flavours of nectarine, guava and melon. Bringing it all together is a lemon pith, bitter almond character that complements the wickedly savoury and textured finish.

Pristine Pinot Gris fruit is sourced and blended for this wine from two vineyards, one in King Valley and the other from the cool sub region of Whitlands High Plateau. On the nose Nashi pear and citrus, over Johnny red apple and subtle spice jump out of the glass. On the palate this is a textural white with layers of complexity to compliment up front King Valley Pinot Gris fruit. An exciting wine from one of Victoria's great wine regions.
