Loaded with aromas of blueberries, plums and raspberry pastilles, the wine has an alluring charm with licorice and savoury spice notes adding intrigue. The palate exhibits juicy dark plum and sweet red berry flavours with underlying hints of white pepper, and whilst the palate is well supported by seasoned French oak, the tannins are soft, round and fleshy.

This medium bodied and elegant wine is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon enhanced with a small percentage of classic varietals. Following fermentation and extended maceration, the wine has been matured in new and old French oak barriques, producing a complex blend of Margaret River fruit characters including cassis, eucalypt, capsicum, mulberry and plum with secondary notes of chocolate and cedar. 93/100 James Halliday Wine Companion 2016.

The palate is redolent with wild strawberries and redcurrant with pippy fresh acidity and a fine, long structure. The wine builds through the mid palate to deliver a persistent, savoury, textural and dry finish.

Howard Park Miamup Rosé is crafted from 55% Shiraz and 45% Pinot Noir. Flaunting a shining rose gold colour, this mesmerising Rose opens with fruity notes of strawberries and peach swirled with cream. These ripe berry and early season stone fruit flavours offer gentle sweetness and crispness to the palate. Oak maturation gives a soft mineral texture while adding weight and complexity to the wine. Pure Margaret River Cabernet ripe redcurrant with a touch of cassis and mulberry overlaid by leafy, violet aromas and dusty cedar notes. Richness, softness and length of flavour are features of all our Cabernets from this vintage. The wine has remarkable mid-palate fruit flavour and richness while still showing the freshness, fineness and acidity for which Margaret River Cabernet is renowned.

This is a complex, compelling wine with dark plums and ripe anise-like spice on the nose, silky tannins and understated oak nicely completing this moreish Shiraz.

Deep crimson red of good intensity and vibrant hue. Intense berry fruits, cassis and chocolate mint characters notes with background cedar like oak. Medium bodied, this wine shows a vibrant and lively fruit driven palate with a fleshy middle and soft mature ripe tannin. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from the Hay Shed Hill vineyard were harvested and de-stemmed into open topped vessels for fermentation on skins with traditional pump-over cap management to aid colour and flavour extraction. The wine was matured in French oak barrels for 13 months allowing integration of fine oak and development of the soft ripe tannin The Hay Shed Hill vineyard is situated on a picturesque property that was established as a group settlement farm for returned soldiers from the First World War. Known as Sussex Vale the property was originally a dairy farm. The current homestead, considerably renovated, still has much of the original Group Settlement look and feel. Vines were first planted in the early 1970s. In the late 1980s the vineyard was bought by the Morrison Family and the wine brand Hay Shed Hill was established taking its name from the local reference to the hay shed located on the property. The sister label, Pitchfork, was developed to complement the single vineyard Hay Shed Hill label. A series of ownership changes saw numerous alterations to labels, wine style and distribution until the current group of partners bought back the farm and the brand in late 2006 and returned to the original concept of producing wine with integrity that expresses the quality of the site.

Redolent in ripe cassis and dark chocolate aromas, the palate is long and structured with perfect poise and balance.
