A relatively new addition to the Wynns stable to compliment the Coonawarra Cabernet Shiraz Merlot and the Coonawarra Shiraz, The Siding Cabernet Sauvignon brings lovely varietal and regional character in a Cabernet that is approachable on release, but also benefits from a few years in the medium term cellar. According to chief winemaker, Sue Hodder, The Siding Cabernet Sauvignon aims to deliver a leading affordable Cabernet that showcases exceptional varietal and region characteristics of red cherry, mint and dark berry flavours, while an array of gentle tannins will further reward from short to medium term cellaring.

Structure and power to boot, a ripe spectrum of red and dark fruits alight the senses and the fine-grained tannins engage to deliver a big, bullish like wine that has wonderful potential to age. Classic cigar box, tobacco and hints of tomato stalk nuance a dense bouquet.

The 2021 Geoff Merrill Mount Hurtle GSM from Coonawarra is a true gem of the South Australian wine region. This blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre is a testament to Geoff Merrill's skilled craftsmanship and dedication to producing exceptional wines. The wine's deep ruby color alludes to its rich and complex aromas of dark berries, plums, and hints of spice. Pale crimson with glimmers of garnet. Aromas of red and blue berries mingle with violet notes and gentle spice. The palate is fresh and balanced, with supple tannins, a touch of earthy minerality, and a clean, lingering finish that reflects its Coonawarra origins.

Produced from 30 year old vines situated in the southern end of the Barossa Valley the Cameron Vale Cabernet shows pronounced mint and blackcurrant flavours. Cellar for 3 - 5 years.

Cat Amongst The Pigeons has been ruffling a few feathers in recent years with its value-for-money full-bodied Barossa Shiraz which continues to delivery on quality and price. Their Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon is a worthy stable-mate with fruit sourced from low-yielding vineyards planted on the western slopes of the Barossa Valley; between Lyndoch and Greenock. Dark berry fruits abound with a rich, spicy fruit character. You can certainly enjoy now, but this cat will further develop with some medium-term cellaring.

Hardys have produced an easy drinking Cabernet, with attractive soft berry flavours which flow easily across the palate and gentle tannins on the finish. Bottled in the larger format 1L bottles, there's now more to go around!
