The name ‘Armagh’ was bestowed by the original Irish settlers who arrived in 1849 and named the lush, rolling hills after their homeland. In 1968 the vineyard was planted by Jim Barry and yields less than two tonnes per acre. The soil is sandy gravel and receives an average rainfall of 600mm per year. The vineyard lies on a north-west facing slope which acts as a natural sun trap, ensuring the fruit is always fully ripened when picked. Halliday Shiraz of the year 2027

These vines are over 140 years old! Hand picked and hand crafted, produced using century old techniques, this is a wine of true beauty, complexity and character. Only 2800 bottles produced.

Sourced from precious, low yielding vineyards from across the Barossa, this wine is a classic statement of intensity and finesse. While rich and generous in the traditional Barossa style, the wine has a seamless structure and extraordinary length and lingering flavour. Maturation in large seasoned and new French oak casks and barrels have allowed the exceptional parcels of fruit to express their distinct character.

Robert O'Callaghan's Rockford Basket Press Shiraz is one of the Barossa Valley's most important wines. It entered Langton's Classification of Australian Wine in 2000 and was promoted to the highest 'Exceptional' category in 2005.Basket Press manages to combine the concentration and power of the traditional Barossa Shiraz style of the 1950s and '60s with the supple freshness of contemporary winemaking.It has achieved its high status in a relatively short time: the first vintage was 1984. Rockfords squat, highshouldered brown bottle - reminiscent of 1940s red wine packaging - is instantly recognisable.

Elegant and aristocratic kaleidoscope of aromas, an abundance of fruit flavours, blackberry, mulberry and blueberry with supporting complexity of mint, eucalypt, rhubarb, Turkish delight and cinnamon. Wendouree has achieved cult status with its tiny production from ancient vines. Luscious dark berry Shiraz fruits and some meaty characters run through the full-bodied palate with ripe tannins.

High Sands Grenache is the flagship of the Yangarra winery. Its made with 100% Grenache and sourced from gnarly old bush vines that were planted in 1946 and situated at the highest altitude in their vineyard. The wine is intense, complex and expressive of type and place.

Wilder, fleshier with more grip and structure, the Las Lamas is sourced from a steep south-facing sloped vineyard at 730m altitude. The biodynamic single vineyard has vines averaging in age between 50-90 years anchored on minerally schist and clay soils. Fermentation takes place in small foudres and the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered after 14 months' maturation in French oak of various ages. Approximately 5 barrels of this wine are made each vintage.
