In the glass: Fine straw yellow with a very slow release fine bead. On the nose: Nectarine and peach over hazelnut with leesy richness. On the palate: Intense and elegant with white peach and white strawberry umami plus fine elements of flint, struck match and velvety roundness under a bright, racy frame of acidity. Deliciously mouth-watering and crisp yet so flavoursome.

The Expression range celebrates the diversity of Tasmania’s wine-growing regions. Our Chardonnay has been crafted with exceptional fruit from the Coal River Valley, on the lower East Coast of Tasmania. It displays a symphony of white peach and citrus blossom, the use of French oak imparts a creamy texture that balances the juicy acid line to still retain remarkable freshness.

This wine, Freycinet's junior Pinot Noir, reveals liveliness and youthfulness in its colour, aroma and flavours. Similar winemaking techniques are utilized as for their renowned Freycinet Pinot Noir. Fully ripened fruit from their Louis vineyard site is fermented over a 7 to 8 day period in a rotary fermenter. A pure yeast culture is added and the ferment temperature is allowed to peak at 32 degrees. After gently extracting colour, flavour and tannins from the skins the wine is pressed and matured in French oak barriques (8% new) for 12 months prior to bottling.

The highly acclaimed Frogmore Creek wines are from the genuine cool-climate of southern Tasmania, where our grapes benefit from a long growing season amongst our pristine natural environment. These slowly-ripened grapes develop pure fruit flavours, fresh natural acidity and are perfect for making world class cool-climate wines.

Tasmanian Chardonnay rarely leaves the state.This not only comes from Tasmania but is made for us exclusively at the great, 5-Star Josef Chromy estate. A thrilling must-try new white, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This fresh and elegant white exclusive takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s.
