Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque is known throughout the world not only for their classic, complex and artisan sparkling wine, but also the magnificent artwork on each of the Belle Époque bottles. The artwork is a homage to glassmaker Emile Gallé who painted a special bottle that was found in 1902 in a nondescript cupboard gathering dust. Taittinger Comtes de Champagne is the finest expression of the world famous wine from one of the greatest Champagne Houses. First produced in 1952, Comtes is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from 6 Grand Cru sites in the Cité de Blancs. Showing a pristine pale yellow colour with very light, abundant bubbles which rise uniformly to form a fine mousse. The evocative bouquet opens with notes of pears and fresh cute white flowers. Left in the glass for a time, the nose develops a richness and density of pure character. Once on the palate, Comtes is lively, direct and precise with flavours of candied lemon zest and fresh pineapple. The balance is something to behold. The Grande Réserve Brut Multi-vintage is the flagship wine of Gosset. Grapes are sourced from various Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites in the Marne Valley. The wine is a blend of 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot noir, and 15% Pinot Meunier with 12% reserve wines of an average age of 2 years. Malolactic fermentation is avoided to retain the vibrant, dry acidity that gives freshness to the Champagne. The wine is aged on yeast for 4 years prior to disgorgement and release.
