Bin 8 has been crafted in the traditional Penfolds style. Ripe, balanced fruit flavours are supported by softly integrated oak resulting in an impressive, smooth red wine. Textured, plush tannins create a neat and tidy framework to house rich blackberry fruit spiced by derived vanilla pod. Barrel maturation has added a creamy texture and mouthfeel.

Made in the traditional style, handpicked bunches were fermented on skins and gently basket pressed. flavoursome, fruit dominant wine with cool climate spiciness.

Sourced from a number of old vineyards in the Riverland and McLaren Vale, some of which are dry grown bush vines. Aromatic and lifted on the nose with a beautifully layered, textural palate with wild strawberry and spice. Vinified in small batches, separately. Wild ferments, whole bunch inclusion, larger oak and no filtration or fining define the natural character of the wine.

This is delightfully styled, showing sweet cherry, floral, olive and warm spice aromas, leading to a beautifully smooth palate that's rounded and flowing. A lovely expression of the variety with an immediate appeal. At its best: now to 2028

It’s 100% grown in South Australia, but as winemaker Steve Grimley says, this lavish wine is Italy meets Portugal Down Under. It blends Italy’s famous Nero d’Avola (40%) and Sangiovese (10%), with Portugal’s Touriga (20%), adding in luscious Durif (20%) and inky Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). (Yes, Durif and Cabernet were originally French, but they’ve been here long enough to be considered true blue Aussies, so we’re not going to quibble.) “No fewer than 4 varieties join forces in this tiny-batch red.
