Over forty herbs spices and flowers have been used to produce Fernet Branca. It is a secret family recipe which has been handed down since 1845. Although thought to have medicinal properties, its best known as digestif, poured over ice, to cleanse the palate after a meal or as a mixer with juice or soft drinks.
