Made from Nero d'Avola, a native grape of Sicily. The vineyards that produced this well crafted red are in the Belice area on the western side of the island. A portion of the fruit is treated very carefully during picking and transportation so as not to break the skins. The bunches are than laid out and dried for 30 days. They are then gently destemmed and crushed, and fermentation takes place. This wine is then added back to the normally fermented portion. The combination of two wines provides great intensity, complexity and interest. The wine has an incredibly intense nose featuring black pepper and spices. The palate offers layers and layers of fruit with bursts of dark berry fruit, excellent balance and complexity, with a soft, lingering finish.

Grown in the Langhe region of Piedmont, this Nebbiolo will age for the short to medium term however it is also made to drink beautifully when young. Coming from what most regard as the spiritual home of the Nebbiolo grape the wine shows the typical structure and freshness of this variety when grown with care and attention to detail. This wine is a knockout! Made from the Montepulciano grape in the hilly Abruzzo region. Zonnin had capture the nature of this grape and made it into tarry leathery long dry and utterly delicious wine! Absolutely perfect with pizza!

The vineyards that produced this appealing wine are situated near Controguerra, Abruzzo, at 250 metres altitude, inland from the Adriatic coast, halfway up the boot of Italy. The pecorino grape is not widely known in Australia. It is believed to be a native of the Marche region. The name may derive from the fact that the grapes were grown in hilly country, the same country that sheep were raised - pecora means "sheep" in Italian. Pecorino wine is easy going, with straw colouring, displaying distinct floral notes, minerality, field herbs, stonefruit and citrus. It is currently enjoying a surge of popularity in Italy and other parts of the world.
