Hakushu Japanese Forest Bittersweet Edition Single Malt Whisky

The Hakushu Distillery was founded half a century after Yamazaki. Keizo Saji, the second Master Blender, inherited his father’s quest to push the boundaries of what a Japanese whisky could be. He had searched all over Japan for high quality water that would produce the most delicately aromatic whisky. After searching with tenacity to the headstreams of rivers and deep into rugged mountains, he found Hakushu. The Hakushu Distillery is one of the highest distilleries in the world, built amidst the deepest forests of Mt. Kaikomagatake in the Japanese Southern Alps. The majestic forest that surrounds the Hakushu Distillery shelters an abundance of plant varieties reflecting the many expressions of Japanese nature. The malt whiskies born here are simultaneously blessed with a very particular microclimate, verdant forests, and water offering a rare softness only made possible by filtration of rain and snow through thousand-year-old granite rocks. Straight from the untouched forests, soft and crisp waters and mountains of the Southern Japanese Alps, it is no wonder that Hakushu is a "green and crisp" whisky. Created by the dream for a new type of whisky of Keizo Saji, the second master blender, the unique taste made in distinct four seasons in high altitude is praised by the most curious whisky connoisseurs and lovers of gastronomy. The Hakushu range of whiskies, with their crisp and vibrant feel, each one unique in a single malt whisky, will enliven your palate and liberate your senses. Johnnie Walker King George V Scotch Whisky

Johnnie Walker King George V was created to celebrate the Royal Warrant given in 1934 to the Walker family to mark the exceptional qualities of their whiskies. The King George has more restraint and sophistication courtesy of the Port Ellen Distillery component that is powerful, slow and resonant. It initially shows a profound smoky aroma followed by sweet, fresh fruit (apples, pears, bananas) malt characteristics; developing into rich dried fruit and spicy complexity, raisins, figs and cinnamon. The palate is smooth with a rich, fruity sweetness. Warming with subtle flavours of sandalwood and smoke. Taste is powerful, complex, rich yet smooth. A mouth warming and lingering rich peaty finish.

Maison Audry Cognac Fine Champagne EXCEPTION 40y to 60y

EXCEPTION VERY RARE COGNAC, WHOSE IMPRESSIVE AROMATIC RICHNESS ENHANCED BY NUANCES OF RANCIO OFFERS AN EXCEPTIONAL COMPLEXITY. OLFACTORY NOTES The nose is rich, complex, powerful and long at the same time, with a nice note of rancio. Spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla, delicate woody nuances of old oak, cigar box and undergrowth. Beautiful fruity and candied nuance. An astonishing freshness for its great age. TASTING NOTES Exception is a very rare cognac, whose aromatic richness is enhanced by nuances of tertiary notes. A cognac that will reveal a wide aromatic palette throughout the tasting. The palate is delicate and lively. The complexity of the rancios and the exoticism of the fruit perceived on the nose are quickly revealed. Warmer aromas of nuts and prunes, coffee beans and cocoa are coming smoothly. Complex and impressive length in the mouth. At the start of its ageing, this cognac undergoes a rapid passage in new barrels to keep the natural aromatics of the eaux-de-vie. It will then be transferred to an old barrel to continue its development in a humid cellar to promote its roundness and accentuate the rancios. This blend is a mix of eaux-de-vie with and without lees, which comes from the terroirs of Petite and Grande Champagne only, aged between 40 and 60 years old. With its ABV of 43%, the reduction of eaux-de-vie in a natural way is favored. This high degree offers a more accomplished taste discovery as well as a better perception of aromas. This cognac contains no additives, sugar or caramel. Only a slight filtration is carried out to preserve its aromatic qualities as much as possible.
