Felton Road is responsible, to a large extent, for putting Central Otago on the world Pinot Noir map. The wines are, well not so much fruit-driven, as perhaps turbo-charged! Amazing levels of red fruits, a subtle yet important savoury component, along with the silky texture all Pinot enthusiasts long for. This single-block wine shows how different portions of a single vineyard can still have a quite unique character, or what the French would call terrior.

One of the early pioneers of the Margaret River region, Woodlands' vineyards date back to 1973. As curator of these historic vineyards, Stuart & Andrew Watson have firmly re-established Woodlands into the top echolon of Margaret River producers. Sourced from an the outstanding 2008 vintage, the Shelley Anne Cabernet Sauvignon shows cassis, mulberry and blackcurrant with that typical bay leaf and cedar undertones. A wine that will live for well over a decade.

Henschke's flagship Cabernet is named after the late Cyril Henschke who purchased the Eden Valley property in the 1960s. Stephen and Prue Henschke then established the vineyard with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc vines which produces this intensely perfumed Cabernet. Matured in 100% new French oak for 18 months, this exceptional wine shows blackcurrant and cedar characters balanced with superb fine grained tannin.

Like the men and women of the Barrot family, Domaine La Barroche is many-faceted and generous. It epitomises the balance, authenticity, and flamboyant character of Châteauneuf-du-Pape a brilliant blend of hundred year old Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault from the estate's finest terroirs. This is an unique, elegant, silky and opulent wine that invariably expresses its distinctive qualities. It also shows great class thanks to its deep colour, floral bouquet, freshness, cocoa flavours and delicate after-taste.

ARNOT-ROBERTS Clary Ranch Syrah, Sonoma Coast Fruit for the Arnot-Roberts Sonoma Coast Syrah is sourced from six farmed organic and sustainable vineyards. At the winery, the grapes are 100% whole cluster fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak. The wine is deep and concentrated, marked by flavours of plum, red berries, fresh herbs, and spice.

The estate was started in 1955. Patrick and Christophe Bonnefond now control 65 acres in northern Rhone of which 18 acres is in Cote Rotie. Colline du Couzou comes from an assemblage of plots in the north and south of the Cote Rotie appellation. The fruit is 80% dedstemmed and consists of 95% Syrah and 5% Cinsault. The wine is aged in small barrels for 18 months.
