Trivento Reserva Malbec

On the nose - the Trivento Reserva Malbec 2016 has aromas of cherries, raspberries with balanced notes of vanilla and coconut imparted from oak. On the palate you can expect to taste well balanced, sweet tannins and a velvety finish.

Flight of the Condor Malbec

The fruit for this impressive malbec is picked from young vines grown at altitude in Mendoza. The altitude contributes to the vitality of this generously flavoured red. There is good integration of oak whilst the wine remains focused on a fresh fruit profile on the palate, and is complemented stylishly by violet aromatics.

Macho Gaucho Malbec

This superb wine abounds with intense cherry, chocolate and spice flavours. Like the Gauchos its velvety smooth on the outside but mucho macho on the inside. Salud!

La Mascota Malbec

This elegant and complex Malbec was aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels and expresses aromas of black fruit, jam and vanilla, with a subtle touch of liquorice. This wine has a great structure and lingering finish.

Santa Julia El Burro Malbec

Santa Julia El Burro, named for a family donkey, is born in Finca Maipú - a 175 hectare vineyard that has been certified organic since 2001. Together with the 130 certified hectares of organic vines in Finca Santa Rosa, this makes Santa Julia the largest organic producer in Argentina. Natural yeasts are used for El Burro and no sulphites are added. The wine displays a beautiful violet colour, with aromas of cherry and plum. The body is fullish and the flavours plummy, fresh and rich. The wine represents a beautiful and natural expression of the Malbec grape.

La Posta Pizzella Malbec

Paula and Pablo Pizzella came on a journey from Buenos Aires just to seek a life of cultivating Argentinian malbec. Pretty impressive commitment, and their vineyard represents the same dedicated story. Sitting at around 1000 metres high (yep, grape vines are pretty hardy like that!) the grapes see a long ripening period, meaning fully concentrated flavour bomb. A blend of oak and stainless steel treatment post-fermentation enhances the gift of fruit purity, while ensuring that this wine has that extra level of balance to see it through a long life. It’s all about the density of plum, black cherry and violet now; give this baby a few years and it will no doubt show some graphite & meaty characteristics. The Pizzellas would want you to enjoy this with company, with abundance of food and conversations that stretch in to the late hours of the evening.

Controlled fermentation. 10 months of French and American oak. Domiciano produces wines with 100% Malbec grapes, harvested during the fresh nights in our farms in Barrancas to avoid oxidation and thus preserve the maximum aromatic expression. Once the grapes are taken into the cellar, they are allowed to macerate at cold, controlled temperatures for 5 days in stainless-steel tanks. Then they ferment with selected yeasts, maintaining the temperature between 25 to 28ºC for approximately 15 days. Later, the wine rested in a combination of French and American oak for 10 months. About the winery: The vineyards of Domiciano de Barrancas are located in the heart of Barrancas, south of the Mendoza River. The climate is dry and sunny, with great thermal amplitude between day and night; this allows a slow and progressive maturation, harmonising the sugar-acidity ratio. The tall trellises are irrigated with the purest water, the melting snow of the Andes.

Alamos Malbec
