David Hook Orange Vermentino

Vermentino is widely planted throughout the Mediterranean, often along the shore lines of both coasts and islands, where it produces bright clean lively wines with classic sea spray and wild herb characters. The variety has good acidity and can be made in several styles. The lighter aromatic style achieved with light pressing and cool fermentations generally without skin contact or oak maturation highlights the varieties fresh fruit and acidity. The grapes for our 2022 Vermentino are frome the Central Ranges grown at altitude on the slopes of Mount Canobolas at Orange. The wine was stored on lees in tank for 3 months prior to bottling. The resulting wine is pale straw in colour with slight green tinges. It has aromas of orange blossom, ripe nashi and a flinty background. The palate is rich with ripe citrus flavour and the wine finishes with a touch of salinity and a slight pithy grapefruit bitterness. The perfect wine with grilled sardines.

Murales Murales SU SOI Vermentino di Sardegna D.O.C.

Deep straw yellow colour. The nose is greeted byaromas of pear, apricot, citrus, honey, subtle hawthorn and acacia. The palate is fresh, progressively confirming the notes of the nose in a round taste. Pleasantly fragrant due to the proximity of the vines to the sea.

Chapel Hill Vermentino, Fleurieu

Bimbadgen Growers Hunter Valley Vermentino

Colour: Vibrant pale lemon, Nose: Green apple and lime. Palate: Zesty lime and crunchy green apple, filled with rich stone fruit and melons.

Kumeu River Pinot Gris

This is a very fine Gris. Its elegant nose shows hints of citrus, grapefruit, musk and apricot while on the palate the wine is structured and remarkably tight with mineral characteristics supporting rich, tropical fruit. The acid is very fresh and the length impeccable.

Spinifex Clairette

A Mediterranean variety that naturally holds acidity and is used to add freshness to the white blends of the Rhone Valley. The fruit for this is sourced from a southern Barossa Vineyard with limestone based soils. The wine is made using natural acid and indigenous yeasts and is unfiltered. Although this is the first release of this variety as a straight up style, Pete has a long history of using Clairette as a blending component of the much loved Lola.

Chalmers Vermentino

The Chalmers familys commitment to innovation and excellence has made them a pivotal force in the Australian wine scene for over 20 years. Their work in the field of alternative, particularly southern Italian varietals has contributed a lot to the success of this movement in recent years. Delicate yet savoury, the wine exhibits a nose of clean florals and wet stones. The palate exhibits minerally acidity and balances white nectarine and citrusy fruit with a zesty, dry finish.

Allandale Chardonnay

Allandale from the Hunter Valley produce a lovely Chardonnay that has a great full body to it with nuances of peach and apricot and nice level of complexity due to the new American and French oak employed.

Rabbit Ranch Pinot Gris

Pale straw coloured with a nose of sweet pear, apple and lifted spices such as lemon grass. A great mouth feel that is crisp and dry with minerality running through it. Seafood anyone?.
