A vibrant purple hue in the glass. Brooding but fleshy aromatics are laced with an herbal spice note. Tannins are prominent but don’t dominate – cherry pip flavours wash over the mid palate. A savoury finish with an immense length and persistence. This wine will blossom with some bottle age.

At seven years, it's just starting to lean into its age - you certainly wouldn't have wanted to drink this marvellous drop any earlier. A little bit of leather and tobacco notes are starting to show themselves, marking this wine's time spent in the cellar. Make no mistake, this wine has got more lives than a cat still to live, with a depth and freshness to the tannins that is so remarkable to experience.
