Freya has crafted this wine to be a lighter style of Cabernet Sauvignon – bursting with blackcurrant and cherry flavours.

George Wyndham was one of the founding fathers of the Australian wine industry after planting the first commercial vineyard in 1830. Wine like this Cabernet Merlot pay tribute to George with its rich blackcurrant and cassis flavours, complemented by plum flavours and soft tannins. A great match with a variety of red meat and game dishes, Mediterranean cuisine and cheese.

The Tate name is synonymous with Margaret River after John Tate helped create arguable the regions most well-known winery, Evans & Tate. Today, Franklin Tate has brought the Tate name back to life with new, exciting terroir driven wines. Franklin painstakingly selected the very best vineyard sites, those that held unique micro-sites within them to enable him to achieve his goal of producing some of the regions best wines. This Shiraz was picked at optimum ripeness and fermented with 10% whole bunch. French barriques were used in the fermentation process to give a softness to the palate, as was a small percentage of Viognier. The result is a great Margaret River Shiraz with grounded savoury notes along with ripeness and spicy lift.

Award winning wines have been the modus operandi for the Tate family since the mid-70s. That pedigree and know-how can be tasted in this bottle of hand crafted Margaret River Cabernet Merlot. Regional notes of bay leaf, eucalypt and dry, tannins are supported by a lush and vibrant blue and black fruit backbone that continues on the palate for what seems like a lifetime. Vibrant youthful brilliant hue of good depth. Ripe cherry and plum fruits with chocolatey influences. The palate displays good depth of fruit concentration, ripe sweet fruit fleshiness in the mid-palate and good flavour extension.

This Cabernet Merlot exhibits ripe cassis, dark chocolate and licorice aromas. High notes of cedary oak and bay leaf add further complexity. The palate unfolds in a myriad of layers of ripe blackcurrant and red fruit interwoven with savoury oak. The long and flavoursome finish is well supported by dry and fine grained tannins.

A vibrant yet elegant Margaret River Cab. Black and blue fruits form a core with nots of dark chocolate, moch a and baking spices, all wrapped in silky tannins. Certified organic winery Churchview owned by the Fokkema family, headed by Spike Fokkema, who originally emigrated from the Netherlands in the 1950s. Our medium bodied Dragonfly Cabernet Sauvignon is an expression of the deep dark fruit characters we attain from the Ferguson Valley region, rich and smooth with lashings of chocolate. Winemaking technique enhances the aromatic and flavour profile of the varieties whilst maintaining a long fine tannin structure. Aromatic blackberry fruit, anise, ripe black plums, and bay leaf aromas. Vibrant Mulberry and blackberry fruits, intense flavour with silky long tannin balanced by fine French oak.
