Since 1992, Madfish have been producing an exciting range of contemporary, cool climate wines inspired by the wild, coastal and pure characterises of Australia's South West. The wines are made by the dedicated team led by chief winemaker Janice McDonald. Black and blue berries, red currants, plum compote and roasted chestnuts mingle with coffee, cocoa and hallmark Cabernet minty earthiness to create a quite beautiful wine.

With not only Robert 'Bob' Oatley's signature on the label, the wine itself has the signature of winemaker Larry Cherubino all over it. Supple and elegant along power and poise are all trademarks of the award winning WA winemaker; all of which are on display here with the Signature Series Chardonnay from Margaret River. Stone fruit notes greet the nose which are then reflected onto the palate that has a length of flavour befitting of a premium Chardonnay.

This Cabernet Merlot is a lighter style with black cherry and mulberry characteristics on the nose. The palate is soft and generous with bright and fresh berry flavours.

Margaret River is an under appreciated region for Australian Shiraz, and it's hard to see why with Cape Mentelle's Shiraz showing a vibrant core of blueberry, mulberry and hints of raspberry. It is well balanced with cocoa and savoury oak. The palate yet, is fine, elegant and focussed, finishing with chalky and structural tannins.

TAMALA is a tribute to the unique limestone that runs beneat the Margaret River region. This hidden piece of ancient history gives our wine its distinct soul - this integrated minerality adds a character you won't find anywhere else. Our Cabernet Merlot is a reflection of our home's unique nature: plush, powerful, and persistent. A classic Margaret River blend, this wine brings together layers of dark plum, toasted oak and spice with a well-rounded, lingering finish.

Showing the palest pink colour with a clear hue, West Cape Howe Cape To Cape Moscato is an intensely aromatic wine. The bouquet exhibits Muscat characters of rose blossom, along with musk, candied citrus and sweet spice. The palate has a light and refreshing base of sweet citrus notes, with hints of passionfruit and guava. The lingering and zesty finish is balanced by natural sugars and crisp acidity. Enjoyed while young, the wine tastes best when paired with wild strawberries, cheeses and rose macarons.

A pioneer of Merlot, James Irvine has produced an attractive plump style with leafy plum and mulberry flavours. The perfect match with crown of lamb.
