Wonderful garnet red colour showing aromas of red and blackberries and cedar on the nose. Rich forest fruits and licks of vanillin oak on the palate. Hand plunged in open topped fermenters, with nine months in seasoned French oak barriques.

It has a lovely bouquet of dark berries and mocha with a soft fruit-driven palate of red currants and plums. The palate is soft, juicy and lingering. A number of parcels are sourced for this blend, once the grapes have reached optimal ripeness the fruit is harvested during the cool of night for delivery to the winery. The fruit is destemmed and sent to static fermenters for a long cool fermentation. Once pressed off skins the wine is pressed off to oak barrels for 9 months maturation of 9. This is a 60-40 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine is elegant and refined showing a clear red-purple colour; a fresh, bright and breezy wine, with red fruits to the fore and balanced tannins to hold the structure together.

A full-bodied wine with fragrant blackcurrant with fine cedar-like oak aromatics. The plate is rich in ripe dark fruit characters and a subtle oak characters. A well balanced mouthfeel is complimented by light dusty tannins, perfectly balanced by natural acidity and a clean finish. Pair with a grilled beef burger or steak with hand-cut chips.
