COMMUNE OF BUTTONS Gloria Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills Commune of Buttons began with a single dream between brother and sister, to continue as second-generation growers of grapes. This is a distinctive Pinot from the much-loved Commune of Buttons. The Gloria vineyard is 1Ha of 25-year-old dry-grown Pinot vines planted in clay and sandstone soils rich in ironstone, quartz and basalt. With flavours of cassis, fresh grape juice, a lick of plum, and just a hint of cherry.

Pale brick red with an opaque rim. Aromas of rhubarb, beetroot, rose petal jam and dark berries mingle with hints of spice and savoury charcuterie. The palate is finely structured, with bright acidity and supple tannins carrying fresh red fruits through to a long, poised finish — a suave yet serious Pinot Noir.

Crafted by Australian winemaking veteran Tim Knappstein, Riposte ‘The Peacemaker’ Pinot Noir showcases the pedigree of cool-climate Adelaide Hills fruit. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards, hand-picked bunches undergo cold soaking and open-top fermentation before maturation in French oak barriques. The palate delivers focused red cherry and dark plum fruit underpinned by fine tannins and balanced acidity.
