With wines like this, Margaret River continues to stake its claim as a premier region in the country for the production of Cabernet. In the glass: Deep red purple.On the nose: Rich, ripe blackcurrant, mint, spice and mocha.On the palate: Ripe and juicy, medium-bodied style with sweet cassis and mint, fine, savoury tannin depth, good balancing acidity and loads of coconutty oak.

In the glass: Bright straw with a green hue. On the nose: Mix of delicate white and green fruits, and touches of guava and gooseberry. On the palate: Full flavoured with white and green melon with juicy and soft acidity. A great all rounder.

Although medium-bodied, Byron & Harold have produced a wine with loads of flavour and varietal character in their distinctive style.Deep red in the glass. Heady lift of violets, plum and spice. Medium to full-bodied with plenty of black fruit, touches of wood smoke and earth, fresh acidity and black pepper on the savoury finish.

The 2018 vintage will go down as a classic, great all -round year. Deep red with a purple hue, complex nose of dark berries, dried plum, cinnamon, cardamom and sweet oak. A bright and rich, medium bodied wine displaying flavours of forest fruits, tobacco, game, sweet spice and subtle toasty oak. The palate is framed by fine tannins, leading the generous palate to a juicy, lingering finish.

A bigger wine than what you might expect from Margaret River. It's power is not without balance however, and those that prefer a rich red need look no further.Inky red purple. Blackberry, dark cherry, plum, earth and chocolatey oak. A fruit and oak bomb, rich and full-bodied, with a concentrated mix of dark berry fruit, firm tannins, intense flavour richness, crunchy acidity and mocha oak. A monster!

An elegant palate with flavours of dried plum, forest fruits and mocha, with some savoury notes. Tight, fine tannins provide length and structure, to this wine that finishes with dark chocolate notes.

In the winery: Lees stirring post fermentation has created a balance between oak, lees and fruit characters. In the glass: Pale lemon, bright and clear.On the nose: Grapefruit, peach, flint and smoked almond. On the palate: Refined with a complex mix of citrus and stonefruit underpinned by well-judged racy acidity. The texture is deep and creamy with long, persistent flavour length.

In the glass: Pale lemon.On the nose: Nectarine, apple and lemon with vanillin oak. On the palate: Fine, elegant and nicely balanced with a bright mix of fruit, zesty acidity, creamy texture and savoury cedar oak.

The warm days and cool nights experienced in the Great Southern deliver wines with great finesse and definition, with this Shiraz just another example of the region's potential. Deep red to purple. Blackberry, dark cherry, clove and black pepper aromas. Very flavoursome with masses of dark berry fruit flavour, cool climate pepper, espresso and kitchen spice complexity, deep yet silken tannins and plenty of charry oak in support.
