Chateau La Croix de Gay creates this flagship wine, Chateau Lafleur de Gay, with an intent to showcase the depth and power possible from old vine fruit of Pomerol, from their site wedged between Petrus and Lafleur. The cuvee is unique as it is 100% Merlot, a near radical move from estates of Pomerol. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in concrete before the wine is sent to 100% new oak to mature for 18 months. The powerful style sees around only 1000 cases produced a year.

The famous white wine of the chateau comes from 3.5 ha planted to Semillon (62%) and Sauvignon Blanc (38%). Overall planting density is 10,000 vines per hectare (red) and 8000 vines per hectare (white). Since 1983, under the ownership of Domaine Clarence Dillon (which also owns the neighbouring Chateau Haut Brion), the entire estate has been renovated vineyards, winemaking facilities and the chateau itself. The property got its name in the 1600s when it was owned by the Catholic Church.

Majestic, intense, full-bodied and tannic, Cos dEstournel is considered the leading wine of St Estèphe. Highly tannic in its youth, over time it develops much much like the great wines of adjoining Pauillac. A true "super second" growth.

A copybook Provence rosé, from an historic site where wine was first produced by the Romans. The blend consists of grenache, syrah and cinsault. The grapes are harvested and handled as gently as possible. It's appearance is beautifully glossy with a pale peach robe and apricot accents. An elegant, floral and fruity bouquet prepares you for the ample, fruity and round flavours. An ideal wine to enjoy with a light salad or prosciutto and melon.

Another terrific success for the flagship estate (a 92-acre vineyard situated on the famed limestone and clay-rich slopes of Cote Pavie) of Chantal and Gerard Perse, the 2011 Pavie is composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. 2011 may be the biggest, richest, most massive wine of the vintage. With thrilling levels of concentration, tremendous purity, high but sweet tannin, a skyscraper-like mouthfeel, and terrific intensity, depth and palate presence, this larger-than-life effort will require 5-8 years of cellaring, and should age effortlessly over the following 25-30 years.

France's Bordeaux, is the spiritual home of the Cabernet family of grapes, which extends beyond Sauvignon and Franc to Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. This wine is Cabernet and Merlot, deep and rich, cassis and earthy cedar, structure and uncommon length - all hallmarks of Grand Cru Bordeaux.

Ch. Sénéjac is one of the better known Crus Bourgeois of the Haut-Médoc, located near to the vineyards of Margaux, just outside Parempuyre in the far south of the Haut-Médoc region. Sénéjac is a historic estate of 150 hectares, of which only 38 are under vine, and even in the middle of the 19th century produced 100,000 bottles, not far short of its modern-day total. It s reputation for making high quality wine blossomed in the 1980s and then in 1999 it entered a new era when it was bought by Lorraine Cordier, whose family also owned the famous St Julien property, Chateau Talbot.
