Deep red with purple hues. Concentrated plum and blackberry aromas with subtle cinnamon and nutmeg spice. Rich and full flavoured with great depth and intense dark berry fruit supported by premium French and American oak.

Ruby garnet in colour. Bright, red cherry and raspberry fruit on the nose. Focused red berry flavours on the palate, juicy mid palate with pepper and spice notes. Generous fleshy fruit, supported by high quality French oak.

The Krondorf No.5 Shiraz honours the Krondorf legacy with these fresh and modern wines that exemplify what regional Barossa has to offer. They are a fantastic introduction to a modern take on a classic Barossa fruit-forward style, and delivers the hallmark brightness and freshness of the region. Mid straw colour. Lifted white peach and nectarine aromatics with flinty notes. Full and intense white stone fruit with grilled cashew notes and generous mid palate. Integrated oak with mouthwatering acid line.

Evocative aromas of blackberry, blueberry, boysenberry, graphite and olive tapenade precede a concentrated, intense palate of black forest fruits seamlessly integrated with oak. By 1850, Krondorf village comprised 121 Settlers and their families. These 121 souls formed the beginning of a new community that shaped the future of the Barossa Valley. Their spirit is remembered through the rare, meticulously selected old vines, with the 2021 vintage hand crafted from a single vineyard in the Southern Barossa with an average vine age of 60 years. With a minimalist approach to winemaking, gentle pigeage is used to extract tannins then it’s matured in premium French oak barrels for a period of 18 months. This richly textured Shiraz gives lifted and concentrated aromatics of dark plum and blackberry fruit, with complex spicy oak notes from new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. The palate shows incredible depth and intensity, the oak giving balance to the strong core of dark fruit. Graphite, aniseed and chocolate round out the palate. Approachable in the short to mid-term, but also a strong candidate for long-term cellaring.

Intense floral aromas and notes of bright, mouthwatering fruit give way to vibrant acidity and citrus flavours with mineral undertones.
