Aromatic nose with outstanding aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and figs. Aromas of crème de cassis meld with mild notes of leather and dark chocolate, which are very characteristic of Syrah from Colchagua. The palate is well balanced with rich acidity, incredibly smooth tannins, tremendous structure, and generous volume.

All of the engenuity and genius of Aurelio Montes can be seen in this extraordinary wine. It was considered "folly" to plant Syrah (Shiraz) grapes high in Chile's Apalta Valley, but Aurelio knew different. Today this magnificent expression of the grape grown on slopes of 45° shows the full gamet of flavours including an interesting tobacco and vanillin finish. While it's a wine for the glass, it equally at home in your cellar.
