Fresh, clean and long berry flavours leap to the fore, then savoury flavours of briar and rhubarb dry out the middle palate; tannins wade in gently before a back palate reveals a core of keen red fruits. The after taste lingers long and ripe red berries set sail into the distance.

Sarsaparilla and subtle creamy malt support the fruit line with fine talc like tannins building in length. The core of blood plum and purple fig is complexed with earthy warm spice and subtle savoury oak. The tannins build and grow, providing a robust frame and depth to the palate. Cherry red in then glass. Lifted dark fruits with savoury nuances, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), and tarragon create a complex aromatic profile that distinctly showcases Moppa characteristics. Rich and powerful for a Grenache, the fruit spectrum showcases black cherry and plum, gliding effortlessly with a succulent natural acid drive. Oak flavours remain in the background, adding texture and creaminess. As with all Moppa wines, the ripe tannin profile adds structure and richness, providing a strong yet refined backbone. The addition of 5% Mataro further enhances the complexity with notes of bitter chocolate and smoked meat. A captivating wine that will improve with bottle age.

From the Six Js vineyard in Steels Creek. Totally destemmed and fermented and matured in stainless steel. The result is a beautifully vibrant wine with aromas of pure, ripe raspberries, summer cherries and a touch of spice. The palate is equally energetic with its core of bright fruits, super fine and silky tannins and juicy acidity. A total joy to drink now and over the next 2-3 years.
