Wine; Red/Garnet in the glass. Fresh picked raspberries, cherry, ripe strawberry, fresh aniseed, cured meats/jamon savoury lift and dried thyme Oregano from Whole bunch. Palate really cool feel, heaps of energy/vibrancy without being overly primary from Carbonic. Heaps of complex layers within. Raspberry, Jamon, cherry and slight cola notes. All the fruit surrounded with more of the dried herbs and ever so slightly savoury notes/kalamata olives. Just the right amount of tannin/grip, Nullarbor type length of flavour and cleans up with great acid line.

Mataro is a variety that thrives in the Barossa with medium to full bodied expressions of the grape. With rich sweet berry fruit, dried herbs and a touch of orange rind on the nose. Mataro’s typical earthiness quickly appears on the palate along with swathes of sweet fruit, black olive tapenade, choc mint and spicy notes. Due to the extended time in oak a lush creamy texture has developed and is the perfect balance for grippy Mataro tannins. The finish is long and satisfying with black fruits and caramel oak.

The nose is opulent and complex. Dark cassis and berry compote combine with dried herb and festive spice. A generous portion of new French oak compliments the rich and full-bodied mix of dense red fruits. Complex and alluring tannins give structure and elegance with bright natural acidity providing a mouth-watering and moreish finish.

The Mars Express is a masculine Barossan red. A full-bodied offering, that will be enjoyed by all, but will be a staple for the traditional Barossan Shiraz drinker. Beautiful inky black fruits jostle their way into dominance (just!) over rich anise, dark olive and intense charred oak that simply demands attention. Did I mention perfectly balanced tannins and spice? Teamed with an enticing colour, vibrant hue and layers for days. Time to get on board!

Deep purple with bright red hue. Aromatic and enticing with layers of fresh mulberries, black cherry, and musk, complexed by notes of Turkish delight and baking spices. Black fruits fill the mouth with expansive length. Nuances of flavour emerge, with chocolate malt supporting the generous fruit. A nerve of bright natural acidity heightens and drives the palate, complemented by finely knit, powdery tannins.

Medium Straw with bright, green tinges. An intense hit of lemon curd and ripe stone fruits, entwined with subtle toasty oak and just a hint of struck match. Juicy, rich and flavorsome up front. Fresh white peaches and zesty lemon lead the charge, supported with toasty oak and a seductive mineral drive which combine to impart length, richness and complexity. A delicious drink now, and in the years to come!

Fantastic perfume, Cranberry, framboise, stewed/cold Rhubarb, cherry, cola. Smells and tastes like Gamay! Nice W/Bunch, dried herbs, pissaladiere, red fruits. Keeps rolling and rolling on the palate. Just right on the acid. Incredible length of flavour. Fantastic vintage.

Dark red colour with purple hues. An expressive bouquet brimming with layers of blackberry tart, black cherry, cacao nibs and sweet spice providing an aromatic lift. Full bodied and complex on the palate, expressing layers of concentrated blood plum and black cherry, combined with undertones of cocoa, nutmeg and vanilla bean all culminating in a harmonious structure of dense savoury tannins. A balanced wine with a certain vitality that will allow it to age gracefully over many years.
