Is a cracker, but an idiosyncratic wine; much in the same way as Bordeaux’s Château Tertre Roteboeuf. It’s the type of claret style that would win a prize in the Australian Burgundy classes of yore. Voluminous and inky deep, it show lifted cassis, cedar, dried apricot, hint wood varnish aromas and flavours, fine supple/slinky texturesand well-integrated roasted chestnut notes. This is a terrific ‘vin de garde’ with all the elements for long term ageing. A high water mark for Terre à Terre.

Light colour, youthful and fresh with lemon blossom aromas, mineral/concrete nuances too, fresh and bright and very appealing. The wine is quite sweet in the mouth, off-dry in a kabinett style, nicely balanced with good cleansing acidity at the finish. This is a delicious half-dry riesling in a Germanic style.

The 2021 Barossa Shiraz is a striking expression of this iconic Australian variety, offering a harmonious blend of power, elegance, and complexity. Deep ruby in color, it opens with intense aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and dark cherries, underpinned by subtle notes of spice, black pepper, and licorice. The palate is further enriched by hints of dark chocolate, coffee, and a touch of oak, giving it a rich, almost decadent lasting feel. Single vineyard wine from Lyndoch 25-35 yr old. . at crusher stage 30% juice drawn off to ensure lower extractions rates for more concentration. American oak 5% new and 25% seasoned and French oak seasoned 70%

Strawberry, cherry and a savoury lick of prosciutto. Cola, dried herbs, cranberry all in sync. Light, complex and seriously delicious. Balanced and bright, with a finish that just keeps going.

It was whole bunch pressed to new and one-year-old French oak, and the balance with the fruit is absolutely spot on. Aromas of melon, lemon rind, and light smoky cashew. The palate has a lively energy with an intense minerally fruit character supported with fine chalky acidity and some superfine oak.

Pale green-gold colour with aromas of lime blossom, white peach, and subtle floral honeyed notes. On the palate, it is medium-sweet yet lively, balancing juicy citrus and quince flavours with bright acidity and a precise, mineral-tinged finish.

Aromatics of citrus with a subtle hint of lightly toasted oak. The palate is full of flavour, with more citrus and spiced pear front and centre, supported by a creamy and tactile mouthfeel. Oak is very much in the background, supporting fruit and adding complexity, creating a long lasting finish.
