Simply named from our address at Coldstream, the 864 range is a showcase of highly detailed micro-selections from the most exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley. Sourced from the Oakridge Vineyard, Winery Block. Planted in the grey alluvial loams of Coldstream in 1996 to a mixed clonal selection. This is very composed, intense and aromatic. Spicy black fruit - blackcurrant and blackberry, hints of creme de cassis, wet tobacco, iodine, dried blood ferrous notes but with an underlying red fruited nuance. Dark cherry, dried raspberry and light leafy notes. The more you look, the more you see. The palate is decidedly medium bodied with the darker fruit flavours shining and adding to the sense of depth and texture while the red fruit characters add length and persistence. The flavours and complexity are framed by chamois like tannins with their light chalky-crunch and smooth long finish. Classic, fragrant, medium bodied Yarra cabernet that that is designed for a very long future.

Sourced from the Henk Vineyard, Aqueduct Block. Planted in the red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock in 2008 using the Dijon clone 95. Fermented then matured in French oak barrels (20% new) on its gross lees for 10 months followed by a further six months in tank before bottling. Complex from the outset - struck match, white nectarine, fennel seed, white flowers, lime skin and dried pear. The impression is of it being crystalline and almost floral. The flavours carry over on to the palate with background flecks of mineral, the subtlest notes of toast and vanilla bean. This is taught and linear but with a glassy texture which carries the wine to a long persistent finish. Refined mod-Oz destined for the long haul.

Oakridge are at their best with premium Chardonnay, and it shows here. This is their signature; delicious nectarine and minerals, finely textured structure and gorgeous length.

Made by 5-star Halliday Winery Oakridge these Over the Shoulder wines offer excellent value for money. Dry, textural and crunchy with pristine pear flavours, this is a refreshing alternative to NZ Sauvignon Blanc.

A vintage defined by cool, wet conditions, low crops and harvesting late into autumn. The resulting wines have great depth of flavour and vibrant, balanced acidities. A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine - whole berry bunch fermentation in open vessels for two weeks followed by a 10 month maturation in French oak.

Very fine persistent bead. Straw coloured and vibrant, fresh hue. Fruit aromas of pear flesh and grilled grapefruit intermingle with brioches and freshly baked sourdough. Light toasty elements and slight yoghurt notes add complexity and depth. The palate is creamy and textural with delicate web of acidity interwoven throughout. Cream, yeast, granny smooth apples and butter pastry flavours flow along before finishing with a preserved lemon-like tang.

A selected blend of cool-climate Pinot Noir from our premium vineyard sites. Whole berry bunch fermented and matures in French oak casks for 9 months, displaying classic yarra Valley fragrance, texture and elegance.

Oakridge are well known for their white wine styles, especially their Chardonnay, but don't forget the Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that can do so well. Lovely lifted spice; bright and attractive cassis fruit and layers of fine grained tannin will greet the drinker and will be welcomed by any serious Cabernet lover.

Aromas of struck match, white nectarine and grilled citrus rich and generous interwoven with lemon-like acidity seamlessly drives the wine with shape and line. Refreshing, pure and flavoursome.
