One of the best known producers of the Rhone Valley is Paul Jaboulet Aine. They produce an array of high quality wine from various appellations within the Rhone. Their Ventoux Rouge is from a vineyard dominated by Mont Ventoux. The red wine produced here is 80% grenache and 20% syrah. Average age of the vines is 35 years. The juice is fermented at a relatively low temperature to preserve the juicy fruit characters and soft tannins. The finished wine exhibits great balance and notes of rose petal, red berries and dried flowers.
