Peter Lehmann

Peter Lehmann The Barossan Pinot Gris

The grapes were picked in the cool of the early morning and transported directly to the winery for crushing. After draining off skins, the wine was fermented at a cool temperature with neutral yeast over a two week period. After fermentation, the wine remained on yeast lees with regular bâtonnage for a number of months to enhance weight and mouthfeel. The selected parcel was fined and filtered prior to bottling in September. Brilliant pale straw with a very slight tinge of varietal bronze. Aromas of nashi pear, crunchy apples, nectarine and honeysuckle. Bright fresh and fleshy fruit flavours of peach and nectarine, soft textural mid palate with a touch of viscosity followed by a crisp, freshening citrus acidity finish perfectly balanced with a touch of residual sweetness. Enjoy with Spencer Gulf kingfish, celtuce, green daikon & smoked dashi, or charcoal roasted squid and pork belly with smoky chilli and roasted red onion.

Peter Lehmann Portrait Pinot Grigio

This Pinot Grigio from the Adelaide Hills has delightful fresh aromatics of pears and white peach opening up to a textural palate displaying bright, juicy notes of lemon zest and melon. Our founder, Peter Lehmann, created Portrait wines to ‘paint a picture’ of our home in the iconic Barossa. Today, Portrait is a series of wines crafted to express the wonderful and diverse landscapes of South Australia’s wine regions. The wines express the unique characteristics of their origin and are made to be vibrant and approachable.

PETER LEHMANN BAROSSAN X DARING SHIRAZ

PETER LEHMANN BAROSSAN X RADICAL SHIRAZ

Peter Lehmann Portrait Rose

The Portrait wines embody the original promise Peter Lehmann made to the growers to make wines that show the true character of the Barossa. Collectively, these wines present a portrait of the region with a selection of the traditional varietals that made it famous. A vivacious wine, with balance and structure, made from dry grown low-yielding bush Grenache and a touch of Shiraz. The colour is a delicate salmon pink with an aroma of early picked raspberries and strawberries. It is a refreshing, dry Rosé style ideal for casual sipping or as an accompaniment to lighter food dishes - served lightly chilled and drink it while it is young and fresh.

Peter Lehmann Portrait Eden Valley Riesling

A hint of oiliness coming through and subtle secondary characteristics of honey. There is fresh, lovely round Riesling fruit, great texture and a searing, limey finish. An absolutely gorgeous Riesling from the superstars at Peter Lehmann.

Peter Lehmann Shoulder to Shoulder Chardonnay

Classic Borossa Chardonnay. Rich flavours of stonefruit and melon with lifted citrus aromas. Secondary ferment and maturation in French oak hogsheads adds subtle complexity and full mouthfeel.

Peter Lehmann Portrait Chardonnay

The Chardonnay has a brilliant pale straw hue, the nose has lifted peach and nectarine balanced by subtle toasty char and spice from oak fermentation and maturation. The palate has a rich and creamy texture with flavours of freshly picked white nectarine, rockmelon and hints of lemon citrus finishing with a crisp, dry and lingering acidity balanced with a touch of toasty oak complexity. Our founder, Peter Lehmann, created Portrait wines to ‘paint a picture’ of our home in the iconic Barossa. Today, Portrait is a series of wines crafted to express the wonderful and diverse landscapes of South Australia’s wine regions. Keeping to our house style, the wines express the unique characteristics of their origin and are made to be vibrant and approachable.

Peter Lehmann Shoulder to Shoulder Pinot Gris

Later harvested Barossa fruit allows the ripe honeydew melon and white peach flavours to shine, complemented by delightful honeysuckle and lime aromas. Our winemakers believe that truly great wines are made in the vineyard. They work closely with local grape growers to capture the individual essence of each site, to create excellent wines that express a sense of place. Our Shoulder to Shoulder wines celebrate the longstanding friendships of our winemakers and grape growers.

Peter Lehmann Portrait Shiraz

Peter Lehmann Shiraz is always a reliable Barossa Shiraz. The nose offers lashings of dark plum with an underlay of dusted chocolate and the palate is brimming with rich fruit flavours restrained by soft fine grained tannins.
