The house was founded as Pommery & Greno in 1858 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno. Under the guidance of Alexandre's widow, Louise Pommery, the house grew into one of the largest Champagne houses and to this day produce elegant and complex Champagne's.

Fermented, aged and released in the same magnum bottle, only fruit from 7 Grand Cru vineyards is used to craft a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which spends over 4 years ageing on lees plus 6 months post disgorgement. Further gentle ageing takes place until deemed ready for release by the Cellar Master. It displays a multitude of citrus, white and red fruits, linked by a common thread of minerality producing a mature complexity, elegance and length.

A pale-yellow hue with golden highlights enchants the eye. A bewitching bouquet of white flowers, with hawthorn and jasmine coming to the fore. On the palate a smooth, delicately buttery attack, this champagne reveals notes of white nectarines.

A rounded, rich, delicate wine that lingers in the mouth. In short, a clean taste with no dryness. A very smooth wine which never wanes on the palate.

Created in homage to Louise Pommery, daughter of Madame Pommery, Cuvée Louise is a wine of exceptional and absolute purity which expresses the quintessence of the knowhow of the Maison Pommery.Cuvée Louise finds its origin within three grands crus; Avize, Cramant and Aÿ - true gems of the Champagne region.The 2006 vintage, uniquely available in half bottle size, expresses all its lightness and delicacy with subtle minerality. The harmony is perfect. Aromas of white flowers are wonderfully associated with hints of prunes and white peaches, creating a silky and fine effect. It embraces the palate with grace and elegance, the finale is long and tense.

1995 was a challenging year in the Champagne region, therefore this Grand Cru Jeroboam is a rare vintage produced with scrupulous care and showing great subtlety.It's a wine for special occasions, ideal with a meal. Brisk and fresh at first leading to a sense of great subtlety and body and culminating in a creamy, fleshy texture.

Within the Estate of Pommery in the heart of Reims are 25 hectares or walled vineyards called the Clos Pompadour. Amongst the best terroirs of Champagne, this Clos (walled vineyard) is able to sublimate the greatest vintages. A meticulous selection of the most beautiful grapes of the three champagne varieties, reaching a perfect maturity thanks to a pure chalk subsoil and micro climate. Available in magnum size only, this cuvée is produced in very limited quantities.
