Rosenvale Vineyards Estate Grown GSM
Rounded and smooth whilst juicy and fragrant. This one shows us why people make blends, grenache, mataro and shiraz really are three peas in a pod and, rather than fight each other, work in harmony to create a wine that's bigger than the sum of its parts. Rosenvale are one of our favourites from the Barossa, crafters of this rich, powerful GSM. The raspberry characteristic, derived from the grenache component, is the dominant fruit, with support from plum and blackberry hints carried by the shiraz. To round it all out, there’s a bit of allspice and earthiness thanks to the mataro. It’s bold, deep in flavour and ready to go now, or any time in the next few years.
Rosenvale Vineyards Gottfried Barossa Valley Shiraz
Gottfried and Johanna Rosenzweig emigrated to the Barossa in 1858, seeking a better life for their family from Germany (Prussia). 152 years on and seven generations of Rosenzweig Barossa farmers, later, the beginnings of this family heritage is celebrated with the inaugural launch of the “GOTTFRIED” Shiraz. As three generations of Rosenzweig currently operate the Rosenvale Vineyards there is a common goal in place; to provide a connection of work with family, building of knowledge through practice and history told through experience. To ensure there is a full understanding of how the fruit evolves across each of the Rosenvale vineyards, Rosenvale dedicates parcels from each of its vineyards for its own wine production. These parcels are made with minimal intervention to study and assess each unique aspect of each the vineyards character and fruit style. These parcels are made with love, to study and assess the unique characters and fruit styles of each of the vineyards.
