First released in 1953, this wine commonly known as Para Port is based on Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, matured in seasoned oak barrels for around 28 years. The vintage date refers to the oldest component of the blend, which conflicts with current labelling standards.

First released in 1964 as the Great Western Hermitage, this descendant of the legendary wine shows dark berry fruit, spice and oak on the nose, while there's spice, chocolate, dark berry fruit and a touch of oak on the medium-bodied palate, finishing with fine, long tannins. The extra bottle age is evident but there's still plenty of life left. Deep crimson-purple; aromatic red and black fruit nuances on the bouquet lead into a gently spicy medium-bodied palate, which has true elegance and harmony. Seppelt Chalambar is sourced from fruit from a number of premier Victorian wine regions allowing the expert winemaking team to source the very best fruit year in, year out. SEPPELT Show Sparkling Limited Release Shiraz, Great Western Pioneering and peerless, the Seppelt Show is the very apex of sparkling Shiraz in Australia. Planted in the Southern Victorian cool-climate region of Henty in 1964, the Drumborg Vineyard has become one of Australia's premier vineyards for producing Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Always in very limited supply, the Drumborg Riesling is a delicate white with pronounced floral notes and notes of citrus zest on the nose. The palate follows through with delicate lime flavours and a trademark zippy mineral acid backbone. Wonderfully fresh and vibrant early in its life, the Drumborg Riesling is also famous for ageing exceptionally well and will further develop in the bottle for a further decade or more.

Iconic sparkling makers, Seppelt and their famous Fleur de Lys Chardonnay Pinot Noir continue to provide a quality sparkling wine with underlying creaminess among dry fruit characters. It's a fantastic aperitif style.

The Release of this limited edition single vineyard wine commemorates the 170th Anniversary of Seppelt s winemaking heritage this year. Like St Peters, this wine showcases the power and finesse of shiraz from the Great Western sub region but focuses on the Arrawatta blocks of our Great Western vineyard. This wine has been made using techniques that push the boundaries of traditional Seppelt shiraz, with the entire blend consisting of partial whole bunch fermented parcels, It is the first single block red crafted from Arrawatta Hill. Located approximately three kilometres south of the Seppelt Great Western winery on a gently sloping hill, the land was originally purchased in 1888 by Hans Irvine for sparkling varieties; however, in 1999 it was replanted entirely to shiraz. Today, our Arrawatta blocks offer some of the best performing shiraz vines in the vineyard.
