Shingleback Single Vineyard Grenache is a true expression of the McLaren Vale region, crafted from select handpicked bush vine grenache parcels of grapes grown in our Shingleback Vineyard located between Mclaren Vale and Mclaren Flat planted in 1947. Its sandy loam over clay soil allows roots to travel down to the clay layer where the moisture is trapped allowing vines to survive with very minimum irrigation. This wine displays blueberry and raspberry aromas with hints of black earthy tones, its long silky tannins balance the vibrant red fruit flavours, resulting in a very approachable wine to enjoy now or cellar carefully for up to 10 years

McLaren Vale is the home of Australian Fiano; an alternative variety well suited to the Mediterranean climate of the region. The light colour of Rose is a result of the short amount of time the grape and skins stay in contact after being crushed.
