A powerful blend of 64% Shiraz and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, it draws fruit from two iconic regions - 52% Barossa and 48% Coonawarra - delivering depth, character, and serious ageability. Aged for 17 months in French oak (76% new), this inky, full-bodied red is bursting with flavour. Expect rich notes of blackcurrants, cloves, soy, aniseed, graphite, dark chocolate, and coffee grinds, all seamlessly woven together. Crafted by winemaker Peter Munro and sealed under cork, this is a wine built for the long haul - balanced, powerful, and beautifully structured, with fine acidity and velvety tannins.

St Hugo Eden Valley Chardonnay

An outstanding modern Australian Riesling with great cellaring potential. Careful winemaking allows the premium fruit from the pristine Eden Valley to take centre stage. Grandson of pioneering vigneron Johann Gramp and founder of Gramp & Sons winery in 1847. Bringing his historical vision of not only the brand but the Barossa into the modern world. St Hugo pays tribute to its namesake Hugo, and each vintage they make is in celebration of his love of the land he grew up on, from their first vintage in 1980. The St Hugo wines showcase deep respect for the grapes grown on their sites by turning them into wines with structure, power and elegance. The wines are crafted to be part of your celebrations with loved ones all over the world – from their vineyards to your table. Sourced from a single block on the Fabal vineyard in the north-west corner of the Barossa Valley, vines are grown on a very shallow red brown topsoil layer over an alkaline subsoil. The Fabal is a Barossa Shiraz at its finest, showcasing the distinctive sub-regional characteristics of fruit selected from the north western corner of the Barossa Valley. Dark and structural with underlying minerlaity, this is a wine with a long life ahead of it.

St Hugo Vetus Purum Cabernet Sauvignon

The nose is intense and multi-faceted. Notes of blackcurrant and cedar are interwoven into a sophisticated expression that constantly intrigues. Harmony and balance are immediately apparent in this elegant, medium to full-bodied wine. The palate is assertive yet refined, with concentrated flavours of blackcurrant, berry and olive supported by subtle cedar spice from the oak. This is a premium Cabernet Sauvignon reflecting the unique terroir and pristine environment of the Coonawarra.

My 3rd collaboration with St Hugo continues DR3's regal lineage. Presenting DR3 the 3rd. This is Cabernet at it's finest. Aromas of raspberry mingle with hints of bay leaf.
