Suntory Yamazaki Umeshu Whisky Blend

Of all the Suntory’s assets, the Yamazaki distillery is something of a legend in the Japanese whisky world. It’s behind these distillery walls that Suntory carefully ages its Japanese Umeshu (plum liqueur) in toasted Yamazaki casks. An exotic Japanese liquor, this release is sweet and decadent, bursting with notes of roasted oak. This is a rich amber blend perfect for fans of the Hibiki 12, as some of the whisky blended into it was aged in these umeshu casks.

Suntory Traditional Old Whisky

Suntory Old whisky is a series of whiskies from Suntory, first released in the 1950’s when it was considered the classiest of all of Suntory’s whiskies. Labelled “The Finest Old whisky” and “A Taste of Japanese Tradition,” this is a beautifully presented bottle of Suntory’s finest blended Japanese malt whisky. Perfect for casual sipping. Enjoy straight or on the rocks.

Suntory AO World Whisky GB

Released to Global Travel Retail in October 2020, this hybrid combines whiskies from the five most noteworthy regions in the world - Japan, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and the U.S. Suntory's Chief Blender,Shinji Fukuyo named the concept whisky 'Ao' meaning “blue” in Japanese, intended to evoke“the oceans that connect these distilleries together.”It's a whisky that pretty much does what the label suggests, offering a complex nose that wanders from sweet grains to more robust malt while also suggesting young Bourbon and trace smoke. Supple and integrated, the palate is a demonstration of Fukuyo's skills, starting out with faint citrus, vanilla and tea biscuits, building body and wood spice into the gently malty / smokey finale. It's followed by fruit'nut'chocolate and a light bourbon (or grain whisky) character through the aftertaste. Ultimately resembling a well-crafted malt-heavy blend,'Ao'possesses some of the weight and character of a fruity Speysider, but with the grace and sweetness of an Irish Pot still or Canadian grain giving overall form and definition - especially through the finish. Also beautifully presented. 43% Alc./Vol.

Suntory Yamazaki Single Malt Blended Japanese Whisky Limited Edition

Rare Collector'S Item Between 2014 and 2017, the Yamazaki Limited Edition bottlings were some of the most sought-after annual Japanese whisky releases on the market. Limited in numbers and containing some precious, aged Yamazaki liquid inside, they delivered in quality, appearance and collectibility. It was only once the realities of the perilous whisky shortage took hold that these wonderful expressions were laid by the wayside, making way for a number of less-premium, NAS whiskies such as the Essence of Suntory Volumes 3 and 4 and the recent Yamazaki Cask Finish releases. Then, last year, Suntory revitalized the series with the release of the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2021, bringing back the good times, at long last. Now, they’re set to keep the ball rolling with the release of the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2022. This one will focus heavily on the use of top-quality Mizunara wood for maturing, resulting in a creamy, aromatic expression that delivers a lively, fruity tasting experience backed up by a unique and elegant array of spices. It’s smooth, flavour-packed and incredibly moreish – what more could you want? With the first release limited to just 1,000 bottles, the stock isn’t expected to last long, so act now to get your hands on a bottle while you can. Nose: Rich and elegant top note, custard cream, cinnamon. Palate: Gentle on the tongue, aromatic and round with spiced sweet notes. Hibiki Harmony Master's Select Suntory Japanese Whisky

Suntory are one of the founding fathers of Japanese whisky, established by Shinjirō Torii in 1899 as a wine store in Osaka. The venture was hugely successful, and the company was renamed Kotobukiya in 1921, which built its first distillery three years later, Yamazaki. The distillery produced both malt and grain whiskies which the company blended together, releasing its first Suntory White Label in 1929, the resulting popularity of which saw the firm renamed after it 1963. Expansion in the next decade saw the company move its grain production to a new Chita distillery in 1972, and open a second malt distillery, Hakushu, the following year. Suntory today has a large stake in both the bourbon and Scotch whisky industry, but remains at the forefront of its native whisky market too. Hibiki is ablend of over ten malts and grains featuring Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita all aged in five types of cask.
