A tight and complex bouquet of dried plum, fresh almond, blood plum, smoked meats, concentrated cherry, blueberry preserve, ginger, glazed prune and clove. In all pretty it’s thrilling, what greets you on the palate flows through to the palate, with a band of deep but amazingly light fruits, an ironstone searing penetration builds up and then slowly flows away, the fruit depth here is admiral and the balance is so pure that this will age quite effortlessly for an extended time.

From a single block, this is McLaren Vale Shiraz at its best. It opens with briary fruits, subtle spice and musk, then draws you in with dark berry flavours and firm yet elegant tannins.

Inspired by the red wines of Bordeaux, this is a vineyard blend of Merlot 63%, Cabernet Franc 23% and Cabernet Sauvignon 14%. Aromas of blood plum, lilac florals, red currant, rose water and cedar oak sit over as Mid-weighted palate dominated by juicy red and black fruit notes and a refreshing tobacco leaf edge, all balanced by a firm but fine tannin backbone.

It would be fair to say that this wine ticksd about as many boxes as it's possible to tick. One of the oldest and most respected wineries in the region, made by one of Australia's most revered winemakers, an iconic wine, widely regarded as one of the best shiraz in Australia and also an excellent vintage, described as one of the "finest" in it's line - this wine will also last for decades with careful cellaring. Concentrated dark berry and cherry falvours pepper with dark spice - a medium bodied silky Shiraz that is simply beautiful.

This is everything you'd want in a full-bodied shiraz. Rich, dark and dense, the Hyland features notes of brooding dark fruits that give way to star anise, leather and chocolate, ably supported by French oak. It's structured, intensely flavoured and ready to be drunk now, preferably with a hearty meal of osso bucco.

Juicy, with red and black fruits, blood orange and herbaceous flavours with natural acidity and a smooth finish.

A really deep and vibrant colour leads onto a gorgeously zesty, natural, fresh, vivid and ripe nose with lots of bramble, blueberry, black cherry, raspberry, mulberry blackcurrant, all rounded out with some gentle spice. And on the palate, vibrant, fresh, natural, vivid and zesty are all words that again spring to mind. And the wine has wonderful length – the mouth-watering bramble, cassis and black cherry flavours go on and on.

This is a generous, enticing wine, with flavours of plums, prunes with baking spices and tobacco paired with fine duty tannins providing backbone and structure.

This bold Cabernet, thriving in cooler climates, offers notes of blackcurrant intertwined with leafy tobacco. Its structured tannins give way to a lingering, savory conclusion complemented by subtle hints of oak spice.

This Shiraz is a complex mix of power and elegance. Rich in texture and bursting with dark berry flavours, the wine lingers long on the palate with fine silky tannins.
