Picked in the cool early morning, the fruit aromas are still pristine and rolling acidity provides the epic flavour ride we so desire. Cassis, dark plum and obviously Blackberry fruits aligning with enveloping, refined-yet-generous Cigar Box tannins. This is accented with perfumed cedary notes derived from the oak our wine is matured in. The result; a wine with elegance and poise. The fruit for Blackberry Patch comes from one block in the heart of the Langhorne Creek and another in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of the McLaren Vale. Primary fermentation takes place in a combination of stainless steel vats and 5 tonne open fermenters after which the wine is assembled into tank and allowed to complete a natural malo-lactic fermentation before being pressed off. It is then transferred to new & well-seasoned hogsheads and aged for up to12 months prior to bottling with minimal filtration. This results in a wine with purity of fruit that is regal and eminently satisfying to allow for regular indulgence. Zontes Footstep is a proudly independent Australian wine producer established in 2003. Their grapes are sourced from their own, as well as their neighbours' vineyards, from regions that produce the desired expressive, varietal characteristics of the grapes grounded by the soil they are planted in. Located in the McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Adelaide Hills, the Barossa and further afield. The name comes from a mixture of things. In 1893 a vineyard was planted with Zante currant to produce table grapes for the growing population of Adelaide. In the 1920s the vineyard was replanted with wine producing varieties of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon which were eventually used to make the first Zonte's wine. As a tribute to the journey of the grapes in the vineyard (and because you arent legally allowed to mention a grape variety unless its contained in the wine) it was decided to change the A to an O ZONTES sufficiently similar. Then in1999, the vineyard was purchased and a plan to plant Viognier, Sangiovese and other new and exciting grape varieties was undertaken. Whilst replanting the vineyard some large boulders with footprints were discovered from the largest known marsupial to have ever lived, the Diprotodon. It was this unique fossilised FOOTSTEP that cemented the name and the journey of Zonte's Footstep was begun. Their aim is the diligent pursuit of producing wines that reflect a sense of place, style and purpose.

Rosso Cova translates to brooding red, referring to the deep dark colour of wine produced from Montepulciano grapes. As a Mediterranean variety, it loves life in McLaren Vale. We fondly call it "Monte" for short as we prefer a mouthful of wine to one of syllables. And what a mouthful this is: plump, juicy Boysenberry fruit, big Chewy Tannins and a dash of Oregano thrown in. Begs for a big bowl of fat pasta with braised meat. Get your fork out!

With its boisterous berry flavours and hallmark tannin structure, this wine hailed us down like a vocal New Yorker at rush hour. We fastidiously selected each barrel for this wine whereby it affectionately became known as the '1st off the rank'. With the lovely palate length and balance that make Cabernet Sauvignon 'king', it is full-bodied yet is no West Coast wanna-be. Made from fastidiously selected barrels, we are quietly confident that it will be the first wine you'll want to jump into at any lineup. Rich plum and blackcurrant flavours swerve into savoury liquorice and cedar notes, followed by a friendly toot of thyme .

Sexy, sassy, and somewhat racy, our cheeky Vermentino exudes so much character it just keeps you coming back for more! Clarity of direction and straight-out pizazz. You can see where the name came from! Purity of varietal flavours such as lovely green apple,Starfruit, freshLimeand zestyGrapefruitall wrapped up in a crisp zingy finish.

'Vin Mousseux' is an umbrella term for all bubbly wines, no matter their production flair. Our Chocolate Mousseux is a quintessential Australian example and one of life's little pleasures. A perennial favourite with all the hallmarks of a bold Shiraz in a moreish, refreshing style. Perfect for warmer weather when full-bodied reds prove a bit of a struggle to enjoy. A great festive match with turkey or ham. This wine is a flavour burst of juicy black cherry, ripe raspberries, and a cheeky dance of chocolate dare we say...mousse!
