Oakridge Ovata Sparkling Rosé is a vibrant Yarra Valley blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It offers fresh wild strawberry and delicate floral aromas, with an expressive, fresh palate showing great line and length. Perfect for celebrations.

A vintage defined by cool, wet conditions, low crops and harvesting late into autumn. The resulting wines have great depth of flavour and vibrant, balanced acidities. A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine - whole berry bunch fermentation in open vessels for two weeks followed by a 10 month maturation in French oak.

The vineyard series range of wines by David Bicknell at Oakridge matches particular varieties of wines with specific sites, showcasing outstanding examples of single vineyard wines. David Bicknell is a Chardonnay perfectionist with a passion for terroir and contrasts in the characters of different vineyard sites. In the glass: Bright fine straw with a green hue. On the nose: Fabulous purity and lift with ripe, complex stonefruit combining with lees and struck match magic. On the palate: A complex funky monster! It shows tremendous depth and umami being satiny soft throughout with amazing refined power and balance and extraordinary length and persistence. Classy!

Vibrant purple red. Lifted fragrant and fresh black and redcurrant fruit followed by jasmine like florals, ground spices, summer pudding and pannacotta. A secondary look with air shows whole bunch notes of spice and sauvage adding complexity. The palate is juicy soft and round, laced with black fruit, raspberries, white pepper and spices. Very much medium bodied, this has beautiful line of acidity that adds length and balance to the velvety, gentle core of sweet fruit. A pure, fresh, fragrant wine.

Simply named from our address at Coldstream, the 864 range is a showcase of highly detailed micro-selections from the most exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley. Sourced from the Henk Vineyard, Aqueduct Block. Planted in the red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock in 2008 using the Dijon clone 95. Fermented then matured in French oak barrels (20% new) on its gross lees for 10 months followed by a further six months in tank before bottling. Complex from the outset - struck match, white nectarine, fennel seed, white flowers, lime skin and dried pear. The impression is of it being crystalline and almost floral. The flavours carry over on to the palate with background flecks of mineral, the subtlest notes of toast and vanilla bean. This is taught and linear but with a glassy texture which carries the wine to a long persistent finish. Refined mod-Oz destined for the long haul.

The Oakridge 864 range is a showcase of highly detailed micro-selections from the most exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley. This Pinot Noir comes from the Hazeldene Vineyard in Gladysdale, a north-facing site at 180 metres elevation. Planted in 1998 with the renowned MV6 clone, the vineyard’s red volcanic soils and cool climate produce wines of precision, purity and depth. A vibrant Pinot Noir with lifted aromas of red berries, florals and a hint of mountain herbs. Layers of boysenberry, plum and subtle bramble add depth, while a touch of carbonic lift from whole-bunch fermentation enhances complexity. The palate is supple and expressive, with juicy red berries, just-ripe raspberries and plums gliding across fine, silky tannins. An elegant elasticity in texture brings both grace and persistence. Balanced, complex and full of energy, this is a Pinot Noir with real presence and length.
