With 130 years of expertise under the family's belt Angove have plenty of experience to call upon. Fourth generation John Angove now heads up the cellar that Dr William Angove started in 1886 near Adelaide (by making award winning brandy – a product they're still famous for) and, besides championing unusual grapes, John also pioneers modern styles of wine. This limited release Patronus The Fawn Semillon was crafted from a select vineyard in the beautiful Barossa Valley. The wine is fresh, fruit forward and crisp with enticing aromas of fresh citrus, crisp apple and a hint of passionfruit. An enjoyable wine with balanced acidity and length. The perfect long lunch wine to crack open with friends.

A superb WA classic from Five Red Star Howard Park, originally set up by John Wade and named in honour of his father, now part of Burch Family Wines, a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wines. “No barrel fermentation or lees working, the two varieties having a close natural affinity with each other. Citrus and green pea marry with passionfruit and gooseberry, citrus the lead player. One of those wines made for consumption, not nerdy wine conversation... 91 points” (Halliday).

The palate is vibrant and bright, with flavours of ripe passion fruit, gooseberry and lychee. These ripe fruit flavours are balanced with a refreshing lemon crisp acidity.
