Angostura Bitters

The perfect addition to a tall cocktail or non-alcoholic drinks, bitters gives any beverage an aromatic lift. The most common use for bitters is in the classic Lemon, Lime and Bitters: rim a glass with 5 or 6 dashes of bitters, add ice and swirl to coat the glass. Fill with lemonade and 15mL of lime cordial or lime juice. Garnish with a slice of lemon or lime and you have one of the world's favourite mixed drinks.

Peychaud's Bitters

Peychauds Bitters are produced according to the original recipe at Buffalo Trace Distillery. Its taste is sweet with slight hints of cherry, clove and nutmeg on the nose. Paychaud's is an important element in the Sazerac Cocktail and can also be used in a Manhattan, an Old-Fashioned and many other classic cocktails.

18.21 Earl Grey Bitters

This versatile bitter is excellent in a variety of spirits. It is bergamot forward and incredibly aromatic with multiple layers. A natural with gin.

Dr Adam Elmegirab's Bokers Bitters

Originally created in 1828 by Johann Gottlieb Boker, whose company closed during Prohibition in the 1920s. This re-formulation was released in August 2009, and uses overproof spirit and seven botanicals including orange peel, quassia bark, catechu, cardamom and mallow flowers.

Dr Adam Elmegirab's Spanish Bitters

A limited edition bottling reformulated in 2010, using knowledge of patent bitters and referencing old formulae, medical journals and advertisements, these bitters now attempt to recreate the defunct bottling. Overproof spirit and eight botanicals are used, including chamomile, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander seed and orris root.

18.21 Barrel Aged Havana & Hide Bitters

Havana & Hide bitters are designed to be reminiscent of reclining in a lounge, drinking Scotch and having a cigar in a big leather chair. Very rich, dark and earthy bitters that pronounce flavours of Tobacco, Cacao, Sandalwood, Cloves..as well as several other spices. Best enjoyed in combination with dark spirits.
