An exceptional blend of reserve stocks of Grande Champagne Cognac, distilled in the mid 1970s and matured in old casks. On the nose there are delicate fragrances of spice, sesame seed, oak, baked pears and brown sugar. The palate is deep and viscous with moderately sweet notes of ripe pear, almond, oloroso sherry, orange peel, and leatherwood honey. The finish has hints of brown sugar with notes of vanilla and salt and has great persistence.

The original jewel of the Tesseron collection of Cognacs; a unique blend of legendary Grande Champagne Cognacs, including many of the finest of their oldest and rarest stocks distilled in 1920s, with 5% of the blend from 1905, and lovingly aged for three generations. Lobo Cider started with some of their lovely cider, a conversation with a renowned whiskey maker, and a bit of dreaming. Sometime later with cider double distilled in the copper pot, then aged in French oak barrels for three years, and careful blending, they are proud to release a superb South Australian Apple Brandy. In France apple brandy is known as Calvados. You can call this one Lobodos! Twice the wolf.

A young, fruit driven, grape-to-bottle Cognac. 100% Grande Champagne. Francois Voyer is a grower producer: he owns his vineyard and makes his Cognac entirely on his property. Francois Voyer vineyard is located in Grande Champagne, the 1er Cru de Cognac. Present on the finest tables of France, hailed by the specialized press as "among the best of the Grande Champagne", this producer reflects the history of a family, and the beauty of their vineyard. Distilled with the lees, the FV VS ages in new Limousin oak casks with a medium interior toast for 1 year. The ageing process continues in old barrels in a damp cellar. A progressive reduction is made, with distilled water (max 5% of diminution every 3 months). A very fine blend, minimum 30 months old. EYE: golden. NOSE: strong bouquet of vanilla, lime and white flowers. Floral tones are typical of the Grand Champagne cru young Cognacs. PALATE: a gentle start which stays on the pallet for a long time. Take some ice, half a slice of orange, half a slice of lemon, 2 teaspoons of honey and 40ml of Voyer VS Cognac. Shake well and then add hot water to make a long drink. Tasmanian style apple brandy!The still is a Charentais alembic still, the design used in Normandy (France) to produce Calvados Pays d'Auge. The Charentais alembic still was designed in the early 16th century in the Cognac region of France where it is still used for fine Cognac production. They produce an aged apple brandy from their still, in the same style as Calvados. They also produce a lighter apple spirit, Charles Oates Apple Blanco, a delicately flavoured spirit.After patient ageing in ex-fortified wine barrels, casks are carefully selected and blended to produce an elegant and outstanding spirit that shows layers of baked apple, sweet caramel and fruit cake aromatics.
