Using locally grown Oushukubai plums from Oyama, Oita which are said to be the best for ume brewing. Umeshu that has been aged for 3 years is then matured for a further 2 years in white oak barrels previously used for the maturation of Single Malt Nikka whisky. Comes with handmade Wooden Gift Box, and wrapped in a Furoshiki. Aromas of honeydew, stone fruits, almonds, apricots, brioche and malt, oak flow across the nose. The palate is rich with the fruity sweetness of plums, almonds, apricots and dried fruits with notes of Yamazaki malt. The impression of ex whisky barrels delivers some vanilla and woody notes to the finish. Slight bitterness to finish.

A Japanese blended whisky rarely seen around these parts of the globe, this is the Signature Blend from Kirin Fuji-Sanroku. Kirin is one of the biggest producers of drinks in Japan, with its Fuji Gotemba distillery producing whisky and more in the foothills of Mt. Fuji. The nose of the Kirin Fuji Sanroku Signature Blend Japanese Whisky is robust malt with vanilla and cooked fruit in support. Containing some of the distillerys rarest aged stocks selected by master distiller Richard Paterson. The Dalmore 45 year old was initially aged in bourbon casks, before being transferred over to a pair of Grahams Port Colheita pipes (from 1961 & 1963), then married together in first-fill bourbon casks. Presented in a hand-blown crystal decanter crafted by French crystal house Baccarat. The Dalmore stag emblem featured on the decanter is the work of Scottish silversmith and Royal Warrant holder Hamilton & Inches.This expression is said to showcase complex, rich, characteristics of sticky toffee, treacle cake, almonds, crushed hazelnuts, red berries, manuka honey, soft liquorice, and bitter chocolate.

Thirty years ago, Glenmorangie innovated in the art of extra-maturation, transferring spirit first matured in ex-bourbon casks, into ex-wine casks so that it could gain further layers of flavour. For The Nectar d'Or, the whisky is finished in barriques from Sauternes: the most famous sweet wine of France. This whisky develops its rich, dessert-like flavours of white chocolate, cr me de caramel, with hints of coconut. Almond croissants flecked with ginger and honey.

Mackmyra was Sweden’s first whisky distillery and 20 years after being established continues to innovate and evolve. Moment Virvelvind is the last expression in the exclusive Moment series where the unique and special casks get the attention they deserve in very limited editions. To close the circle, Moment Virvelvind got its inspiration from the first edition (Moment Medvind). A slightly peated whisky with red apples, pear and fresh citrus tones and of course, Swedish oak as the backbone. A grand finale to say the least. The casks used for the Mackmyra Moment Virvelvind include 1st fill Bourbon, 2nd fill Olorosso and Svensk Ek Whisky barrels. The nose is of sweet fruit in the shape of pears and red apples and balanced by distinct citrus, vanilla and muscovado sugar, all surrounded by a veil of smoke. The palate is of soft oak tones and bitter orange with vanilla fudge and ripe pear complemented with a light smoke of peat and juniper. The finish is long with tones of juniper and lime with tobacco leaves and oak.
